BRD Asset Management SAI was honoured with the ‘Envisia Professor Andrew Kakabadse Award for Excellence in Board Education’ at the Future of Boards Awards Gala, held on 30th October, 2025 in Bucharest.

Presented by Envisia – Boards of Elite, the award recognises organisations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to developing effective, informed and responsible boards through continuous education.

It celebrates the legacy of Envisa’s Founding Chair, the late Professor Andrew Kakabadse, whose pioneering research and teaching on governance, leadership and boardroom effectiveness have shaped thinking around the world.

This year’s winners, BRD Asset Management SAI, were praised for embedding governance learning into their leadership culture and for investing in board development programmes that strengthen transparency, accountability and strategic foresight.

The award was presented by Nada Kakabadse, Professor of Governance & Ethics at Henley Business School, who emphasised that “board education is more than a professional requirement, it is the foundation of ethical, purposeful, and enduring leadership. It empowers directors to navigate complexity with insight, courage and humility.”

Now in its third edition, the Future of Boards Gala gathered senior board members, directors and governance professionals from across Europe under the theme “Celebrating Impact. Shaping the Boards of Tomorrow.”

The event reaffirmed Envisia’s mission to raise governance standards and honour organisations driving excellence through learning.

The Professor Andrew Kakabadse Award stands as a heartfelt tribute to Andrew’s life’s work, advancing the practice, purpose and moral depth of boards in a rapidly changing world. His vision continues to guide those committed to building stronger, wiser and more human-centred leadership at the top.
